ZKTeco Biometric Integration Guide
Everything you need to know about connecting your attendance hardware to the cloud.
Why Integrate Biometrics?
Standalone biometric machines are good for recording data, but manually downloading logs via USB drives is a major hassle. Integration allows you to pull data directly into your HR software for real-time visibility and automated payroll.
Pre-requisites
1. Network Connectivity: Ensure your ZKTeco or eSSL machine is connected to your local network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
2. Static IP: Assign a static IP address to the machine to prevent connection drops.
3. Port Forwarding: If your server is outside the local network, you'll need to forward port 4370 (default for ZKTeco).
Step-by-Step Connection
Step 1: Identify the Communication Key (Comms Key) set in your device settings.
Step 2: Install the WorkoTime Desktop Sync Agent on any computer within the same network as the biometric machine.
Step 3: Enter the IP Address and Port in the Sync Agent.
Step 4: Click 'Connect'. Once successful, your attendance data will start syncing to the cloud instantly.
Native Integration with WorkoTime
WorkoTime provides a native, zero-configuration sync agent for all ZKTeco-based hardware. Whether you use fingerprint, face, or card-based devices, our software ensures 100% data accuracy without any manual intervention.
